This is our maintained reference page for Grand Theft Auto VI. We keep it current and we keep it honest: every section separates what Rockstar has confirmed from what is still rumour. If a detail isn’t here, it’s because we couldn’t stand behind it yet.
Release date Confirmed
GTA 6 launches on 19 November 2026. This is a fixed, single-day date confirmed by Rockstar — not a window or a quarter.
Platforms Confirmed
The game ships on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no PC version at launch, and no PC release date has been confirmed. A later PC port fits Rockstar’s history, but until it’s announced, treat any PC date as rumour.
Price and editions Confirmed

- Pre-orders are live, with a Vintage Vice City Pack as the pre-order bonus for both editions.
The full contents of the Ultimate Edition may expand closer to launch; we’ll only mark additions Confirmed once Rockstar lists them.
Setting and map Confirmed
GTA 6 is set in the fictional state of Leonida, inspired by real-world Florida, with a returning, modernised Vice City at its heart.
What is not confirmed: specific map size or “X times bigger than GTA 5” comparisons, named regions beyond Vice City, and interior or landmark counts. Those circulate widely but remain Rumour until Rockstar shares real detail.

GTA 6 moved twice before settling: from an original 2025 target, to spring 2026, to the final 19 November 2026 date. Our read on what that says is in our delays feature.
Characters and story Rumour
The confirmed anchor is the world itself — Leonida and Vice City. Beyond what official trailers show, specific character, plot and progression details are best treated with caution. We won’t print story specifics we can’t source, and we’ll update this section as Rockstar reveals more.
