GTA 6 editions and pre-orders: Standard vs Ultimate, explained

Two editions, two prices, one pre-order bonus. A plain-English guide to GTA 6’s Standard ($79.99) and Ultimate ($99.99) editions and what pre-ordering actually gets you.

If you’re deciding how to buy Grand Theft Auto VI, the choice is refreshingly simple this time: two editions, and a pre-order bonus that applies to both.

The two editions

EditionPrice
Standard Edition$79.99
Ultimate Edition$99.99

Both are confirmed by Rockstar, and pre-orders are live now.

The pre-order bonus

Pre-ordering either edition gets you the Vintage Vice City Pack. That bonus is the headline confirmed incentive for ordering early.

Should you pre-order?

Here’s our honest take — clearly separated from the facts above.

  • If you already know you’re buying it on day one, pre-ordering locks in the Vintage Vice City Pack at no extra cost, so there’s little downside.
  • If you’re undecided, there’s no rush. Pre-orders on digital storefronts can typically be cancelled and refunded before launch, and you can always upgrade later.
  • Be wary of third-party “bonuses.” Any extra content beyond the Vintage Vice City Pack that you see advertised should be treated as unconfirmed until Rockstar lists it.

What we’re still watching

Rockstar has confirmed the editions and the bonus, but the full contents of the Ultimate Edition are the kind of detail that tends to be expanded closer to launch. We’ll flag anything new as Confirmed only once it comes from an official source — and as Rumour until then.
