GTA 6 release date: everything that’s actually confirmed
Grand Theft Auto VI launches 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here’s what Rockstar has confirmed — and the one big question still open.
Updated
The wait finally has a hard date. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026, and unlike the years of speculation that preceded it, this one comes straight from Rockstar Games.
What’s confirmed
- Release date: 19 November 2026. A fixed day, not a vague window.
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Current-generation consoles only.
- Pricing: a Standard Edition at $79.99 and an Ultimate Edition at $99.99.
- Pre-orders are live, with a Vintage Vice City Pack as the pre-order bonus.
That is the whole confirmed picture for launch day. Everything beyond it is either rumour or reasonable inference — and we’ll always tell you which.
The one big open question: PC
There is no PC version at launch, and no PC release date has been confirmed. Rockstar has a long history of bringing its games to PC months — sometimes more than a year — after the console debut. That pattern makes a later PC port a fair expectation, but an expectation is not a promise. Until Rockstar says otherwise, treat “GTA 6 on PC in [month]” claims as rumour.
Our read
A dated, single-day launch this close out is a strong signal of confidence from Rockstar after a turbulent road to release. For console players, you can plan around 19 November 2026 with confidence. For PC players, the honest answer is: wait for an official announcement, and be sceptical of any specific date until one exists.
We’ll update this page the moment the picture changes.
